When to book a clutch replacement
Your clutch should last around 60,000 miles, but it is heavily affected by your driving style. If you ride the clutch a lot or keep it at the biting point longer than necessary, you can wear it out faster. What’s more, you should always replace your clutch before it reaches the end of its lifespan because it is such an important car part. You can’t regulate your speed without it. If you struggle to engage a certain gear, hear a shrieking or grinding sound when changing gear, can push the pedal all the way to the floor under minimal pressure or smell burning when driving along, you should book a clutch replacement as soon as possible.
